SOLO Weapon Sight

The SOLO SIGHT MOUNT dramatically increases the night fighting capability of the .50 caliber and 40mm crew served weapon systems. It provides pinpoint accuracy with electro optics in total darkness within the tightest limit of the weapon employed. The SOLO also improves the night fighting capability of weapons mounted on any special operations watercraft, ships, or static ground position. The effectiveness of the SOLO has been determined by the following field tests. During the test evaluation without the SOLO, a gunner succeeded in hitting a 3 x 3 square meter target at 800 meters after firing 3 rounds, during a daytime fire. With the SOLO installed, the gunner was able to hit a 1 x 1 square meter target at 800 meters with 1 round conducted in total darkness with an NVG Optic device and an IR Laser.

The SOLO has several distinct advantages over anything available on the market today:

• The SOLO allows the gunner to pinpoint the designated target efficiently, with it’s built in elevation dial; with ranges from 0 to 3500 meters for the M2 and 0 to 1700 meters for the 40 mm.
• The second advantage is the ability to mount electro-optic sights on to the weapons system. A buffer system is built into the bottom of the sight which absorbs 88% of the weapons recoil, protecting thermal or night vision equipment mounted on the weapon. No other system has this feature.
• The operator can read the dial with the built in LED light, which does not affect the user’s night vision, and also reduces operator reaction time.
• The SOLO can quickly attach to a MK19 grenade launcher or an M2 Machine gun.
